Hi all.
Does anyone know where I might be able to source a replacement gear for my universal power window kit???I was working on it today, and just when I was about to fasten the unit into place, I realised that the gear that sits on the spline of the hand crank (which in turn connects to the power unit) had fallen out and was missing. I searched for ages and could not find it. I need to get a replacement one, if that is at all possible. Thanks. |

Is there a company mark or brand on it with a model number? You may be able to contact the company direct and they can send you the part.
Perhaps pop the one off the other side and try matching it. Is there even a place that only sells gears of various sizes? Perhaps scour eBay for the same unit, or better still one with a blown motor you can scavenge for parts. Good luck. You may also try a place that fits after market car accessories, they may have something that's close, or know where to send you.

Hi Yellow_Festiva thanks for the reply.
I have looked on eBay for replacement gears .... To no prevail, I'll have a look at the box and forms inside. I'll see if I can get in touch with them. Perhaps I'll ask around local auto shops. Again thanks |

Hi Xr6 Martin
Just to be sure.... I'm looking for the appropriate gear that attaches to the manual winder spline, and then to the end of the motor. I would not be able to post a picture till the morning. I'll post as soon as I can. Thanks. |

Hi XR6 Martin
Here are is a photo of the door and the spline. I measured the spline, the OD is 11mm. If this helps, let me know. And if they are a match, how much would you like for the gear/gears?? Cheers Lachlan. |
