hey all, going up to the GC tomorrow to have these wheels fitted.
http://www.bsawheels.com.au/index.ph.../g2/g2-28.html

It was $1600 for the rims, tyres, fitting, balancing and a wheel alignment and the quoted me $1000 just for the rims.

And they are drilling them for me but from a blank rim as opposed to slotting a wheel with a different PCD.

also everyone feel free to comment on the wheels!!!

I'm going to assume you mean the size of the wheels,

They are 17x7inch with 205/40/17 tyres

They look freaking awesome buddy. I'm sure I don't have to ask to post them up, but please do! Great choice, I think with the Moondust Silver Fiesta it'll doo absolutely sweet.

well have some bad news... the wheels aren't on the car!!! The wheel manufacturer sent 18x8.5" wheels instead of my 17's so i'm going to have to wait until monday, but as soon as I have then I'll post photos!!!!

To be honest... we did put the 18's on... i had a cargasm!!! looked uber sexy :P although i would have had to run 20 profile tyres... and considering the roads around home i'd be replacing a wheel every week... especially after that damn tornado ripped up the main street :(

so 18's did fit ok? did they tell you what tyres you'd need to use? ie 205/30 or 205/35's etc?

No not really, we could have gone with them but it would have meant teething issues with rubbing the guards and suspension issues, but they were 18x8.5 so if you could find a narrow 18 it might work. the tyre on them was a 225/30/18.

Think of the ride though, looks are one thing, but the ride would be near appalling. Sometimes I think the 16" rims can be a little rough with the crap roads in Queensland. Would looks the tits though!

Mate, you better be at our next cruise because I want to get up close and personal to that sexy master peice of an automobile! Looks superb, definitely a hot set of rims fella. The Moondust Silver works extremely well with the black rims IMHO. Top job!

Probably take a heap of pics on the W?E once I've had time to polish the car and wheels.

I haven't bought a Feesta yet but I am probably going to next week...the sales dude quoted some rediculous amount for the 17" factories....he said it needed spacers or something, I am not sure what he was on about.....did you just get these and bolt them on with no probs?

Firstly and correct me if I'm wrong WHEELDEAL but spacers are illegal in most states. What the ford guy is talking about is a steering rack limiter, which essential stops you from turning the wheel as far as to prevent rubbing. A few of us have 17x7's now and i'm all but certain that noone has had scrubbing issues.
So to answer your question: Yes I just had a set of 17x7 wheels running 205/45/17 tyres bolted onto my car.

the Factory 17's are bloody expensive and IMHO not worth the coin...
