Hi guys,
Just a thought. I want to buy a project car that will last a lifetime and thinking through id love nothing more than a Deloren or a 1969 Dodge Charger. But how does one go about finding these rare vehicles??

American guy still builds them new if ya want, he got the intellectual property a while a go and kept it going. Might have a source of used ones etc. |

From memory the delorean had leaking issues etc. I have seen a genuine delorean up close and it didn't appeal to me. I love the charger but horses for courses hey!

There is at least one Deloren in Australia. Last I heard Matthew Reilly (fiction author) pick one up at a Melbourne auction & drove it home to Sydney.

>>>>>>>>>>>there was... it was sold a few years ago and wound up going to england i went up there just to see it and it had been sold weeks before They must have got another one at Birdwood then, because I was there in January '09, and I saw a Delorean. They DIDN'T have a Falcon XA-XC Coupe (in fact don't recall seeing a sedan either), which I was very disappointed about. Top place though. The did have an XY GT. Lots of Holdens though - but it is sponsored by them so that's understandable. Last edited by Ducati888; 27-07-2009 at 02:44 PM. |

theres a delorean for sale in the latest car magazine for classic cars sales..not unique cars but the other one? Has cars in groupings. I think it was around 45 grand and had the lowest km of any delorean in the world, something like 40k!

There was one on display in the foyer of RACV's head office in Melbourne a few months ago.

Far too 80's and far too expensive for what they are. The movie makes it look good but then again, it's not really a stocko is it?
I've seen one up close and personal and I find them ghastly. I'd rather do up old school muscle instead of some hyped up concept car that requires its own mechanic. Actually, even in the movie it had constant mechanical issues.
