Hey
I'm looking at a purchasing a new Fiesta soon as my dad's work just became some special ford customer so I get a discount across the board, it works out to be a couple grand off the new Fiesta Zetec! I do a look of peak hour driving so I was looking at the auto with the 1.4L motor, I have not been able to find much info about this package apart from this thread: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11255032 So a couple questions: 1) Has anyone else driven the auto with the 1.4L motor? 2) Has anyone tried the USB connection for playing music? how did it go? thanks Daniel

i've driven the auto model a fair bit. to be honest its a bit gutless compared to the manual fiesta, however its not unberable.
USB stick works fine. just plug in and it plays the music. And even if you have other data or files on your USB i believe that wont affect the music.

I ordered a zetec auto, and having test driven one I was quite satisfied for a 1.4L motor. I know it's got only 71kw but after comparing that figure with any other 1.4L engines out there ford stacks up allright. Sure it doesn't have VVT but not that it's important in such a small car.
Something that you might find interesting: The auto has manual mode (and works nicely, allowing you to downshift before entering a corner). |

you shift the lever to the right and then it goes to +/- mode. It doesn't add any performance though, just allow you to manually shift gears.

Ok i'm back home, was pretty impressed with the car. It handled well and had a bit of go, not much tho but didn't expect much either!
Had a play with the bluetooth, it was pretty cool. Does it work well after setting it up properly? Speakers sounded decent too, does anyone know what the specs are of the stereo system? |

just normal 6 speakers (2 tweeters and 4 full range speakers), which impressed me for a such a budget car. The bluetooth does work well, and combined with voice activation makes calling someone a cake.

If you can get the manual. Smooth gear changes, more power and torque and delivers better economy
