i know i have a million questions on here (well not really, but anyways), im wondering if it is possibly or if anyone has tried taking a headunit out of a 2007 WQ and putting it in a 2004 WP. any help would be appreciated cause im not sure how easy this will be or where to start.

You're in the same situation as if you put an aftermarket headunit into a WP. You will need to buy a new dash surround for the stereo that suits the UK sat nav models.
Here's a link to an example, http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/fies..._bezel_350.htm I used this for my conversion on my WP to an Alpine headunit close to 3 years ago.

im not worried if its a PITA, it was sort of an impulse buy. and now that i have it i better use it. plus i think it looks nicer than the WP one.

From memory, the instructions were reasonably clear for the dash panel swap over, if you're keen let me know and I can ask the guy who installed it if he remembers how hard it was.
