Exclamation ford beast, I wish they made

I've had this idle fantasy going through my head for ages, and have put together a rough idea of how I want it to be.

As you can see it is based on an XH panel van and an XF wagon, but I am looking for decent photos of both of these, even if an owner of each would like to catch up with me, (i live in adelaide) to take a photo of both, one after the other to make things a little easier with same lighting. but really I would love any photos of either preferably white, and preferably side-on just for ease initially, though i may do a angled one for depth afterwards.

Also feel free to voice opinions on the beast

I looks like a car/half boat trailer with a cab on it.

Looks like a hearse.

Or maybe a "Coroner + friends" meat wagon.

Yeah I agree.

Definitely would be different, but I'd be embarrased to drive such a car.

naturally you can guess I'm never gonna build the thing but would like some decent photos to do a decent photo chop. Cos the current photos are taken from carsales.com.au but I'm sure noone would be recognising their own car!

Its not coroner and friends, its a shaggin wagon with room for the whole orgy!

cos yeah wont be white at the end but it will leave me with more colour choices if i do all the original chop with white cars, just wanting a decent photo chop!

Good luck getting the girls to join you in that! They'd probably see it and run!

Give up before you spend any money. There used to be a bloke called Colin Box from Colac in Victoria who made some Holden utes similar to what you’re thinking about, however, the ADR requirements of what you are planning would make the project nearly impossible. There’s also an AU 1 XR that was made into a dual axle ute some time ago. I’ll try and dig up a pic of it.

Cheers

There's a guy up the road from me who has an XW or XY 4 door panel van, but he only has the single rear axle. It looks kinda strange but cool at the same time. It's covered in signwriting for his business too

I have had the same thoughts about doing a ute like this for since I was about 15 . I was inspired by a magazine called Van Wheels back in the day ! There used to be an Maroon Le Monaro that was a ute in Melbourne in the 80's . I saw it in the city a few times !

There is an XR8 BA mk II here in brissie thats dual axal and there are heaps of dual axal AU's kicking about up here but they are all drop side tray and the BA has a full checkerplate aluminium box made up for it. Looks fat. oh and it has the BA MKII Style side rear bar.

I think a few four door panel van type things were made at some stage for use as ambulances or something? I'm sure I've seen the odd one here and there, but can't remember if what I'm thinking of is right or whether they were dual axle or anything.

Umm, I don't get it.

Why not just use an extended wagon? It'd look 500 times better.
