Default Tinting question

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but its it legal to have like a "metalic green" or greenish tint in Victoria or does it HAVE to be black? If no where can I get this done?

Thanks!

As far as I know, it is legal as long as it is not too dark

Colour doesn't matter, just the darkness. 30% is the legal limit for side windows, No limit for rear window. My rear window has 5% on top of 30% (almost black) The darker your interior is, the better the effect.

Go to http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/ at the top in "Search" enter "tinted". From the resulting page, go down to "Tinted Windscreen and Windows (pdf 619KB)" and click on the number "2".

Interesting reading, thanks for that. And here I am, thinking I have to stop at the level mine is. Looks like I can go darker again. :
