Default 2004 Fiesta Wheel Bearing

Hello,

I've got a stock 2dr 2004 Fiesta Zetec which has just had the front left wheel bearing collapse for the second time in eight months. It's a $950 job to replace it, which I had Etheridge Ford do last time. What I wonder is, what might be causing the collapse? It isn't just going squeaky or giving some play, it's absolutely vaporizing and combusting. Might there be another problem causing this? Do Ford offer some sort of warranty on repairs?

I would go talk to them, sounds like the torque settings may have not been correct. And yes I believe their should be some sort of warranty on repairs, depending on how many k's you have done.

12 month warranty on authorised repairs. As you had the previous work completed by a Ford dealer, your covered. Unless a) you have done over a certain amount of km or b) Ford in their mind 'prove' this wheel bearing problem is caused by something you have done. My guess is you should be fine buddy.
