The Police must have traced this back via YouTube and the ISP. So watch out any would be you tubers.

I can't see YouTube or any ISP freely giving that information out over what is typically a minor offence.

actually I am a rider as well, and I wouldn't take offense to my comment (if someone else said it) purely because no sane person would actually be stupid enough to open a door in front of a rider

it was a joke relating to people like that ( as in the biker who got caught) give riders a bad name for their stupid behavior that gets publicized.

Someone actually did open their door in front of me (typical moron who doesn't look out for motorcycles

: ) when I was riding past them a couple of weeks ago. They probably wondered why I swerved and beeped. Lucky I was only doing 60kph at the time.

Back on topic though - The fact that the guy posted the video on YouTube in the first place is the dumbest thing. We have all done stupid things on our bikes. Making the video is one thing but doing so and posting it where it is clearly visable to everyone is complete and utter stupidity.

I believe there are techniques the police can use to determine whether the vid has been doctored or not.

As long as he hasn't made admissions he can beat the charges. Look at the "evidence"

I believe that when they searched his house they found unedited footage on his camera and computer, so combined with everything else I'd say the evidence was overwhelming.

The more losers like this that get locked up the better and off our roads. In Perth about 2 years ago some dropkick was doing a mono at night for several hundred metres and someone pulled out in front of him, another dead stupid biker. Why? because his headlight was in the air and the driver that pulled out couldn't see him.
Don't bag me about bikers I used to ride for a long time but gave it away because it was too dangerous and I found myself doing silly things but nothing like this, and having kids always make yopu think twice
