Default Difference between the F6 vs the M3 sedan?

What is the difference between them besides the price and size?

Which model f6 and m3's??
Latest models its I6 turbo 310kw vs 4L v8 309kw
M3 also gets dsg, weighs less and probably handles better
And cant beat the germans for quality and tech

One can seat 5 adults in comfort, tow a ski boat and doesn't cost $3000 for a major service, and it is faster from 80 to 120 kph.

6 is higher than 3 but M is higher than F, so it balances out.

FPV F6 is a large performance sedan with a 4 Litre turbocharged I6 making 415hp@5500rpm and has excellent handling for a 1815kg sedan. Pretty much the best bang for the buck performance car in Australia.

The M3 is a medium-sized sedan with a 4 Litre N/A V8 making 414hp@8300rpm. Excellent handling and cornering, strong torque from 3000rpm up and a power bulge. Kerb weight 1655kg

In terms of performance, the M3 would get off the line quicker but the F6 should be faster at in-gear acceleration (eg. 80-160kph), mostly because it has 565Nm on tap at 2000rpm!

Hope this was of assistance to you...

I'll be bold and say that you won't be buying a factory M3 in many shades of colour other than grey/black/white... they might accidently sell you a coloured one, but thats only because the normal grey spray-painter was on lunch....

F6 can be anything in the rainbow.... pretty much...

Hmmm.... so what you are telling me 'Sorted' is that I could actually buy
2 Foons.... and have $20k left over for insurance, rego, and a nice new shed to store them in....
Or an M3....

hahaha....

I see.....
*(mental reminder to point and laugh at all M3 drivers on the road from now on)*

I would say the M3 would hold value ok, seeing that there aren't a lot around...
Still would not touch one...prefer an F6 anyday. 85,000 less...such great value.

You know what they say about Beemer drivers?....

Plus Mr Clarkson doesn't like them either

I personally think they are good cars but in their price range, the C63 has it beat.

By the way, if anyone want's to drive an M3 on a short track....on their PC get it here for free, it's very very realistic! http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...e/content.html

53% of the initial cost for the FPV
43% of the initial cost for the M3

Big loss on the M3.

Clearly...

Letterman tonight had Paris Hilton as one of the guests...she had nothing to say, except about herself.

On the other side of the fence is a family we know, rolling in cash.
They have an X5 and some even newer Beamer sedan (bloody big), then the wife complains she can't afford this and that.

Hmm...where to start...

Australian cars are not the best in the world, but bang for buck, they're hard to beat, and inexpensive to maintain too.

They're in completely different markets/categories. Someone seriously looking at buying an M3 isn't going to give an F6 a second thought, and vice versa.

cant believe all the M3 bashing going on.

whilst i know its a ford forum, try not being so 1 eyed. the M3 is a bloody fantastic car! (although the e46 model is the best one) but still

and also as GCG said, more people will say "nice car" rather than "oh.. its a ford" (if that ever plays into your equation)
