I believe that concern was fixed by FG2.
Jastel had his FG X XR6 milkshake, as per that thread aussie linked to. And at only 80000km, too.

Would be interesting to understand the failure mode as it is the first I've heard of an FG X having that issue.

In other words vehicles built in that periord had a early style connector, for servicability the parts have a connector that was fitted to cars after this date and so to fit the later part to the earlier cars you need a jumper loom. Still available at $23.

LH door B pillar trim is obsolete, but I may be able to source you one. Need to check and confirm and get back to you. Let me know if you would like me to chase.

Hi GTLegend, any progress on the b pillar trim? If not I'll just take the latch and loom.

Hi. I've got a 2000 AUII Fairmont GHIA VCT 6 Cyl.

Chasing a Power Steering Pump and the O'ring/Gasket that sits behind the VCT solenoid assy (bolts up to the front of the engine not the solenoid itself)

Thanks

Genuine pumps are obsolete, but plenty of aftermarket ones around like this example.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/11476984...3ABFBMooqCvudh

As for the O ring the large one is V890155S100 and the small one in the middle is ERT6C262A are also both obsolete, but if you take your old ones to a seal place like CBC bearings, I am sure they can match one up.

Hope that helps.

So I chased up the trim yesterday only found out that they did not send because they lost my details. Lucky I rang. They will send out today.

Sorry mate, not my doing this time lol..

Hi George,

I think I could only source the alternate Motorcraft units of head lights. Let me know if you want me to chase.

I may be able to get my hands on genuine Headlight covers, but would need to check and confirm. Leave this with me till after Easter.

GT,

I'm chasing two original battery terminal clamps for the AU2 as well as the specialised clamp nuts. One of mine has almost rounded out. They use a 10mm ring socket to secure to battery pole.

Are they still obtainable?

Battery terminals were never sold separate, only part of the positive and negative leads.

Long gone unfortunately.

Good morning!

On Territory control blades, there are four (total per car) Christmas tree clips that are integrated with a cable tie. These hold the ABS sensor cables steady/safe.

Are these clips still available? I can leave cash in the mailbox if you’re passing by one day soon.

Hey mate,

As per image below, it looks like they were never sold seperate and only part of the ABS sensor/wiring only. I may have something similar that is black in colour, but would need to dig them out.

Let me know and I will try and find them if need be.

Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

Thanks for a quick reply.

That’s a nuisance about supply only as a cable unit. I’ll try KR Partners and one of the eBay sellers who has a clue on OEM stuff.

Hi GT, how are you doing?
Chasing hens teeth here I know - the wife’s trusty 09SY is slowly falling apart, and needs a new tailgate garnish, the one on the glass with the Ford logo on. I tried to fix the broken tabs with plastic glue, but the whole thing is so brittle and I cracked it almost in half. I tried wreckers all over but seems to be the 1st thing that goes.

I’m led to believe the SY11 and SZ garnish will also fit, so im not fussed to get one if that was the case.
